Biggified and colorized

Christmas shopping was finished this AM.  Husband was off to golf, soooooooo I had some time to play with my water colors and markers.  I am trying to start an 'art journal' but don't have anything remarkable.  I find it difficult to use water colors on gesso and not sure just what it is I want to say.

Susan, I'm going to jump in with my opinion here. First, I love your "biggified" Zentangle and the color is a lovely touch. Second, if we all waited to put things in a journal that were "remarkable" we would have very few journals in the world. I used to be just like you and was always waiting for those "remarkable" pieces. It completely crippled my creativity. One day someone suggested that I keep a journal as ongoing book of inspiration, ideas, and attempts both successful and unsuccessful. Then when those "remarkable" pieces came along I put them in a separate portfolio as pieces I was proud to show to others. In retrospect, some of my best ideas have been sparked by going back through my imperfect journal and reattempting previous ideas. I encourage you to start your journal soon because your work is very beautiful!
